Electronic Filing Opens For Business Tax Returns February 4th
Description
Filing this year has been delayed due to the Fiscal Cliff adjustments made in January, that took the IRS by surprise. Electronic Filing will open February 4th at 9AM Eastern time to receive electronically filed Federal and state Business returns (Corporate 1120, S-Corporation 1120S, and Partnership 1065). The opening will coincide with the IRS opening their system to receive and begin processing Business TY12 returns.
What Returns Can I file electronically?
You may submit your Federal and state Business tax returns that do not contain Federal forms identified by the IRS as not yet ready for processing. (Please see Forms NOT accepted below)
Processing of Electronic Returns and Acknowledgements
Due to the anticipated volume of electronic returns anticipated by the IRS, please be aware that acknowledgments can take up to 48 hours for Federal returns, and up to 5 days for state returns. Many acknowledgments will be returned faster, but should you experience a delay please do not be alarmed.
